Qatar Academy Msherieb is part of a sustainable urban regeneration project in historic downtown Doha. The multistory Academy has an indoor swimming pool, commercial kitchen, courtyard, gym, classrooms, and underground parking. The building was certified LEED Gold and lauded for its energy and water efficiency, use of non-potable water, rainwater recovery, on-site renewable energy generation, and use of recycled materials, regional materials and FSC certified wood.

The school is accessed by one secure and controlled entrance to the south. The parent pick‐up/drop‐off is at basement level 01. Entrance to the school is through a shaded loggia where reception greets you and directs you to either the Preschool or Primary classrooms on the ground or first floors. The main entrance space is wrapped around a sunken Multi‐Function Hall, an important gathering space for students, teachers, and visitors. The courtyard is covered with a retractable awning to allow shade control and prolonged use of the space especially during the summer months.

The flagship project reflects Msheireb Properties’ unyielding commitment to protecting the environment and preserving natural resources and is in line with the Environment Pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
